
Blyth Celebrates Promises A Year Of Celebration.
To coincide with the opening of the Market Place Pavilion, Blyth will be hosting a series of events which will be based around the newly developed Market Place area.



Blyth Celebrates Launch Weekend.
Kicking things off on the 23rd & 24th of August with Blyth Celebrates opening weekend. The event promises to be filled with live music, events and creative workshops taking place in the newly developed Market Place. There will also be a life sized pedal powered model of Stevenson's Rocket, which will be paraded around the town & powered by some willing local residents. You can also expect a few surprises along the way. The event is being organised by ASP events, Blyth Town Council and Walk the Plank.

13th & 14th of September will see the Market Place host Blyth Vintage Weekend. Blyth will go back to days gone by, you can expect vintage markets, a traditional funfair, live music, upcycling workshops and lots of treats and treasures to be had. Produced by ASP Events.

Salt & smoke : Stories Of Blyth.
For the past few months, Novo Theatre has been collecting stories from Blyth residents about the characters they've met over the years. On the 26th - 28th of September those stories will be brought to life in an interactive experience that will set off from the Market Place at timed intervals. Performed by local arts charity Novo Theatre, this event promises to be a story telling experience for all ages.

Luminarium.
25th - 28th of October The Market Place will be taken over by a world class interactive walk through inflatable, Luminarium is a giant inflatable art sculpture and you're invited to kick off your shoes and take a stroll through it's colourful and mind bending tunnels. Lets Play Day.
On the 30th of October the Market Place will be filled with fun, games, pop up activities and challenges. There will be lots of chances to get involved and loads of opportunities to get active. Organised by Blyth Town Council.

Halloween Parade.
31st of October Blyth celebrates Halloween in style this year with puppet making, spooky activities and halloween craft workshops. Followed by a parade around the Market Place. Organised by Blyth Town Council.

Earth, Wind & Fire Garden and Lantern Parade.
Ridley Park will be transformed into a magical fire garden on the 14th & 15th of November. This walk through experience will combine art, music, water and flame in a spectacular display sharing Ridley Park in a new light. The weekend begins with a magical lantern parade featuring over 100 local children through the park.

Christmas Lights Switch On.
Blyth's Christmas lights will be switched on, on the 22nd of November. This year with some added events throughout December. Expect an Advent trail and treats with activities. More on these events as the organisers release more details. Organised by Blyth Town Council.

Blyth Film Festival 2026.
February 2026 sees a brand new film festival come to Blyth. The event will be held at the new cinema in the Market Place and at some unexpected locations around the town. Expect movies and some magical moments, more details on this one soon.

The Festival Energy.
Blyth Celebrates ends with a huge festival to showcase Blyth's leading role in the worlds energy industry. More details will follow soon but expect interactive talks, displays, hands on fun and behind the scenes experiences.
